TUF's Operations & Maintenance

TUF Commodities DMCC (a subsidiary of TUF Group) is renowned for its successful operation and maintenance of Bahrain Ferro Alloy (BAFA) from 2012 to 2016. During this period, TUF Commodities managed all aspects of procurement, marketing, and manufacturing of bulk ferro alloys.

Bahrain Ferro Alloy, established in 2002 in the Hidd Industrial Area of the Kingdom of Bahrain, boasts the following features:

Smelter: The facility includes a 24MVA Submerged Arc Furnace with an installed capacity of 50,000 tpa of High Carbon Ferro Manganese or 30,000 tpa of Ferro Silico Manganese, with the flexibility to switch between these products.

Captive Power Plant: The power requirements of the ferro alloy smelter are met through an on-site captive power plant. This facility includes two gas turbines with a total installed capacity of 50MVA, along with auxiliary equipment to ensure uninterrupted operation of the ferro alloy plant.
